LUGplast d.o.o. is upgrading its quality and environmental management system
The company has carried out an internal audit of its integrated management system and is preparing for certification to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.
LUGplast d.o.o. invests continuously in the development and improvement of its business processes, with particular emphasis on service quality, environmental protection and responsible waste management.
As part of the project “PK.1.3.04.0777 – Support for companies for certification”, LUGplast d.o.o. is carrying out activities aimed at implementing and certifying a management system in line with the international standards ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.
As an important step in preparing for certification, an internal audit of the integrated quality and environmental management system was carried out on 6 August 2026. The audit verified that the management system is established and that it complies with the requirements of the standards named above.
The internal audit covered key areas of the business, including organisational context, the needs of interested parties, responsibilities and authorities, the management of risks and opportunities, environmental aspects, legal obligations, employee competence, communication, control of documented information, operational planning, supplier oversight, and the monitoring and evaluation of business processes.
Particular attention was paid to environmental aspects and to compliance with legal requirements. Hazardous and non-hazardous waste were identified as significant environmental aspects and are kept under control through the implementation of prescribed activities. An analysis of applicable legal and other requirements confirmed the company complies with the relevant obligations.
The objectives of the management system for 2026 include:
- implementation and certification of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015
- increasing waste processing capacity
- expanding storage space
- implementation and certification of the RecyClass management system for plastic sorting
- further investment in equipment and business development.
The results of the internal audit showed that the system is being implemented appropriately and that employee involvement is high. It is particularly significant that no non-conformities were identified during the audit. It was also concluded that there is strong commitment on the part of employees and Management to actively applying the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
Through the project “PK.1.3.04.0777 – Support for companies for certification”, LUGplast d.o.o. continues to strengthen its business processes, raise the level of service quality and develop its operations in line with the principles of responsible and sustainable waste management.
